A Time to Pause: When caring for others begins with making room for ourselves.

We often think of support as something dramatic. A breakthrough. A solution. A life-changing moment. But more often, it begins with something simpler. Sometimes, it’s the simple things that make the most difference.

In observance of Suicide Prevention Month, Manna Wellness, in partnership with the Baguio City Public Library, local businesses, volunteers, and health professionals, hosted SAPAT: Sining at Papel, Atbp., a community gathering centered on mental wellness, art, and human connection. Participants were welcomed with food, art supplies, wellness education, and the opportunity to spend an afternoon using art as a safe space for meaningful emotional expression.

Many of us spend our lives caring for others. We show up. We sacrifice. We put our own needs aside because someone else needs us more. There is love in that. There is beauty in that. But there comes a point when the things that once made us feel alive quietly wait for a day that never seems to come.

That is why spaces like SAPAT matter. Not because they ask us to become someone new, but because they give us permission, even for a little while, to set down the weight we have been carrying.

In a world that is constantly asking us who we should become, SAPAT offered a quieter invitation:

To breathe. To reconnect with ourselves. To remember that our hopes, our dreams, and our well-being matter too.

We look forward to welcoming you to our next art session.
